Prepare For Trouble

Hey everyone, I recently joined an LJ community for people who collect Pokemon merchandise, because I do like Pokemon, especially Meowth. I mean, just look at this stuff:




Anyways, joining this new community and getting so many warm welcomes (even after I accidentally posted a 600 DPI picture publicly) inspired me to do a Pokemon related comic and this is what I came up with. I even referenced my two favorite Pokemon. Let's just hope the people in the Pokecommunity don't hate me after it. ;)

Potential Jazzy Figure Designs by *Pembroke on deviantART

I'm thinking of submitting a design to Patch Together for a Jazzy figure and see if can get made. I'll need your help on this one, guys, because whether or not it gets made depends on how many votes it gets from viewers on the page. So I'll need your guys support on that.

But before I can even submit the design, I need to decide on which design I want to use. So here's a picture with four different designs I came up with. Let me know which one you guys like the best, so I can make a more in depth color version to submit to the site.

Marble Madness

Hey, everyone, it's my first (of possibly many) comic referencing Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen, the highest grossing badly reviewed money in existence. WOO! Personally I enjoyed the movie for the most part, there were some things that bothered me (much like the first movie), but I found it overall enjoyable. If your not afraid of spoilers and would like a somewhat more detailed explanation of my feelings on the movie, I guess you can read this.

While this strip references a specific scene from the movie, I don't think it's very spoiler-ish, and it makes fun of Bakugan more than TF: ROTF. For those that don't know Bakugan is some weird Japanese imported cartoon show and toy line that kinda' plays like a weird Yugioh version of marbles from my understanding. To be honest, I don't really get it, but my step daughter is totally into it. Is this what's it like when you start getting old? GET OFF MY LAWN!

Anyway, Bakugan are these little ball shaped things that transform into other things...yeah... supposedly they're supposed to turn into robots, dragons, or monster... but really, they just look like the marble sprouts random things out of it... like I said I don't get it, but seemly it's all the rage with kids these days. Sigh... at least Transformers are still around so I can still relate with young'ens on that... right? RIGHT? Sigh...

Next post I can talk to you guys about the TF: ROTF toyline if you are interested in that since I've gotten quite a few figures since the movie came out and I wouldn't mind taking some time to let you know what I think of them.

Also let's give another round of applause for Chris Jones. His coloring just continues to blow me away. Also give an applause to my friend, Cary Woodham, he's been my proofreader since the comic started. When I get some extra time a side, I plan to add both Chris and Cary to the Artists section of the main page. Unfortunately my life has been a tad crazy lately, but I think we should be getting some calming down soon.

I somehow acquired a Flonne figure a few weeks back. So here's some pictures of her (since I finally got new batteries for my camera)

I've made it a personal goal to try and find a way to display every toy or figure I own in the office I have in the new apartment. I got an additional shelf in there and have totally reorganized my Capcom figures. Also felt it necessary since I found the Servebot plush naritai got me and the Edgeworth figure Carl got me (I think he's the one who got me that...). I also found a few more statues to put up in that shelf as well as some bobbleheads and PVC figures that fit with the statues better than the other toys, so that also got rearranged. Also organized all my other video game toys as well as toys based on Superhero comics. Woo! Here's some pictures.

Yesterday I hung up some shelves to put my Capcom related figures up (the ones I don't put with my statue collection that is). Let's take a look.



Here's the entire set of figures. I'm thinking of seeing if Home Depot has the stuff I need to put an extra shelf in the middle since there's so much space in between the shelves. Could give me a place to put my SNK figures.



This shelf contains my figures related to Street Fighter, Darkstalkers, and Rival Schools/Project Justice. I'm pondering moving my Cyberbot figures to this shelf, that way it could be an all Street Fighter shelf. I also used to have A LOT more Chun-Li figures, but they kinda' disappeared. ^^; I need to fix that.



This shelf contains the rest of the Capcom related stuff like Maximo, Megaman, the aforementioned Cyberbots, and more. Maximo was a great series, too bad Capcom decided to screw over the developers while they were designing the third game. The designs looked nifty.

I've recently moved to a new apartment, so I'm currently unpacking. I decided to take this time to show off some of my collection of toys and figures, at least the parts I have currently unpacked.

Just The Bear Neccesities

I knew someone who had one these exact toys and left it in her closest for years. This is exactly what I toy was going through.

In other new, I saw the Friday the 13th remake...boot...whatever. It was surprisingly pretty good. I was worried seeing as I was a fan of the original series and all, but I felt this one came out pretty good. You can read more about my feelings of the movie here.

I've gotten a few new toys lately and this has caused for some reorganizing among my collection, and while reorganizing my DC section I noticed something I found funny.



The Question is taller than Superman! That's awesome! Incorrect, I'm sure, but awesome! See I can't recall off the top of my head any time where I really saw The Question and Superman standing together in Justice League Unlimited or in the actual comics, but I'm pretty sure he's not taller than Superman, because he's Superman. He's big and super and everything positive (As well as boring) wrapped into one. So minus maybe Batman, Supes should be taller than everyone. The Question isn't super, he's a normal human... a bit insane, true... but physically he's a normal human, who's a detective (conspiracy theorist) and where's a blank face mask to scare people. He has not super powers, and while he knows a few pieces of hand to hand combat, I don't think he's worked out anywhere near as much as Bats. So the fact he's taller than Supes is hilariously incorrect, but okay because The Question > Superman. Don't believe me? Go watch any of the episodes he appears in JLU, you won't regret it.

Currently Transformers has two big lines going on that has had my interest (and money). First is the Transformers Animated line based on the current (and awesome) cartoon series. The second is Transformers Universe/Classics 2.0 which is a reimaging of the original G1 characters. Allowing Hasbro to give something to both the new and old school fans. Rather clever, Hasbro. Clever indeed.

Anyways, I felt like taking a brief moment to talk about my favorite and least favorite toys in each line.

When I was at the Asian Market I saw a capsule machine that had these weird chibi Transformer danglers based upon the movie versions of the characters. You could randomly get Jazz, Prime, Bumblebee, Ironhide, Bonecrusher, Devastator, and Megatron. I got Jazz, and let me tell you, these things are odd.

I mean, the way they made them squat and SD is weird enough as is (there's even a small sculpted smile on Jazz's face), but if you squeeze the figure, the robot's alt mode (in this case a car) pops out of it. I don't know about you, but that's kinda' fucked up. Here's a picture so you can better get an idea.



Kinda' looks like he's shitting out his alt mode, doesn't it. Maybe he's giving birth to another Autobot. If that's how it's done in the Movie continuity, then the cube is a lie... A LIE!!!

Either way, a weird toy, and I thought I'd share it with you guys. Now if I can just get the Prime one...

Well, so far I got two Transformers Animated toys and more coming in the mail. Inspired by wigglytype I've decided to take photos of my new toys and add my Femmegasm characters to them. As well as show these little pics, I plan to also tell you what I think of the toys. Here we go.
